🍽️ Is Your Dog Actually Hungry?
Your dog just finished dinner.
Thirty seconds later, they’re staring at you from across the room like they haven’t eaten in days.
Sound familiar?
Most dog owners have wondered at some point: Am I feeding my dog enough? Or am I feeding them too much?
The truth is, it’s not always easy to tell. Dogs are experts at convincing us they’re starving, and a few extra treats here and there can add up faster than we realize. On the other hand, some dogs may not be getting the nutrition they need to stay healthy and active.
So how do you know if you’re getting it right?
Let’s break down the three questions every dog owner should be able to answer:
How Many Times Should You Feed Your Dog?
If dogs made the rules, every meal would be followed by a second meal.😂🍳
For most adult dogs, feeding twice a day is a healthy routine. Puppies need three to four meals because they’re growing quickly, while some older dogs may benefit from smaller meals more often.
More important than the number of meals is consistency. Dogs love routines. They know when it’s walk time, treat time, and somehow always know when dinner is running late.
How to reduce constant cravings.
Before reaching for another treat, remember that hunger isn’t always the reason.
A regular feeding schedule, daily walks, playtime, and limiting extra snacks can go a long way toward keeping those puppy dog eyes under control.
🐾 Imagine having this level of optimism.

How Much Food Does Your Dog Actually Need?
This is where many owners get caught out.
Most dogs don’t gain weight from one big meal. It happens through little extras throughout the day. A biscuit after breakfast, a bite from your sandwich, a treat because they looked adorable, and another because they looked even more adorable.
A simple rule: don’t give your dog a snack every time they look at you while you’re eating. Dogs quickly learn that begging works.
Instead of focusing only on the feeding guide, look at your dog.
Do they have a visible waist?
Are they active and energetic?
Every dog is different. A dog that spends hours running around needs more food than one whose favorite activity is sleeping on the couch.
What Does a Balanced Routine Look Like?
A healthy dog needs more than just good food.
💧 Fresh water
😴 Plenty of rest
Remember, a walk isn’t just exercise for your dog. It’s adventure, exploration, and a chance to discover the world one sniff at a time.
🔍 Did you spot the impostor?
The fake fact was:
B. Dogs only dream as puppies.
Adult dogs dream too. Those twitching paws during a nap might mean they’re chasing squirrels in dreamland. 🐿️💨
